Most standard passenger cars take between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on the number of windows and the film selected. Larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks may take a bit longer. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you call for your quote.
New York State law requires a minimum of 70% light transmittance (VLT) on front side windows. Rear side windows and the rear windshield have more flexibility. We know the local laws inside and out and will never install a tint that puts you at risk of a ticket or failed inspection.
Keep your windows rolled up for at least 48 hours after installation to allow the film to cure. Avoid cleaning the tinted surface for at least a week. When you do clean, use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the film.
Carbon tint uses carbon particles to block heat and has a slightly matte appearance that many drivers prefer. Ceramic tint uses nano-ceramic particles that reject significantly more infrared heat (60-70%+), while remaining perfectly clear and never interfering with GPS, phone signal, or keyless entry. For maximum comfort and performance, ceramic is the upgrade.
